In what can only be described as an unprecedented year for our Club, Ballina Stephenites GAA Club has faced one of the most challenging periods since its establishment and indeed all clubs around the country faced the same predicaments during 2020.

As 2021 beckons, and with some hope that a return to club and intercounty football may happen, towards the spring period, the Club would like to acknowledge and thank the hard work of Senior team management; Nobby McLoughlin and Barry Murphy who started with senior management in 2015, and continuing on with management team to then also work alongside Enda Gilvarry and Shayne Melia.

With big improvements and steps made by the senior team, in the last four years, from regulation to finishing in the top four in club championship, these improvements were not only made on the field but also in the changing room; by instilling pride and desire in players and the club as a whole, to do better and be better, we have made a big step forward, as we look ahead.

The club also wants to acknowledge the work of coach Daniel Cunningham, physio’s Kevin O’Mahoney and John Courell and Dr Sean Moffatt for their continued support of the team and never to forget our kit men P Egan, supported by Damien O’Hora in 2020.
